BICCIAB have been successful with three projects to stimulate training demand.
Increasing female participation in the plumbing industry - The aim of the project is to have a group of women complete a prevocational program and then go on to obtain employment as an apprentice in the plumbing industry. The women will be supported by a mentor who has completed a plumbing apprenticeship and has work/life experience on the job. Training and assistance will also be provided to the employers who take on one of the female graduates.
