Plumbing & Services

The Plumbing and Services industry includes occupations such as general plumbers, gasfitters, mechanical and roof plumbers who are commonly involved in the domestic and commercial sectors of the building industry.  Training and assessment for qualifications in this sector are included in the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package.

The Plumbing and Services Industry Reference Group (IRG) was established in 2010 to provide industry advice to BICCIAB.

In fact the Building Commission recently reported that in the June 2009 quarter, the average weekly earnings in the Victorian Building industry was $1542 - that is over $80,000 per year!

The forum 'Plumbing into the Future', held on the 20th of May 2010 provided participants with a wealth of information and discussion on topics relevant to the plumbing sector. Over 60 industry, training providers, regulators and government representatives attended the day.
